The ASUS Zenbook 14X has an OLED screen with higher resolution and brightness, suitable if you prioritize display quality, especially for tasks like photo or video editing. It also has better performance for 3D tasks and engineering software, due to its dedicated Nvidia graphics chip. However, the LG Ultra 16 offers a significantly longer battery life, which is crucial if you need to use your laptop on the go without frequent charging. The LG is also fanless, ensuring silent operation. Both laptops have the same amount of storage and memory, and while the ASUS is slightly more portable due to its lower weight, it falls short in battery endurance compared to the LG. The LG's overall performance is adequate for general use and lighter engineering tasks, but for intensive gaming or more demanding engineering applications, the ASUS would be the better choice. The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the LG Ultra 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X offers a high-resolution display with sharp visuals and good brightness, making it suitable for everyday activities and work that requires attention to detail. For engineering and design, its wider color gamut provides more accurate color representation, crucial for professionals in that field. However, for gaming and 3D work, the Zenbook's lower refresh rate can lead to less smooth visuals when compared to laptops specifically tailored for those functions, which often emphasize higher refresh rates for a more immersive experience.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the LG Ultra 16 compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"Unlike the gram, the Ultra PC isn't designed to be as lightweight as possible. The 16-inch laptop is a whole 400 g (0.88 lb) heavier than its 16-inch gram counterpart partly because its chassis is not made of magnesium. Other than that, the Ultra PC seems like a copy of the gram – but with longer battery life, lower noise levels, and a clean, delicate look."
