Choosing between the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the LG Ultra 16 depends on your needs. The ASUS TUF Gaming F17, designed for intensive gaming, provides good performance with a dedicated graphics card suitable for 3D tasks and gaming, but is heavier and less portable. In contrast, the LG Ultra 16 is lighter, easier to carry around, and offers longer battery life for general use, but its integrated graphics may not handle demanding games or engineering software as well. If performance in gaming and resource-heavy applications is a priority and you don't mind the extra weight, go for the ASUS. However, if you prioritize portability and battery life for everyday tasks, the LG Ultra 16 would be the better option. Give Feedback

The LG Ultra 16 and ASUS TUF Gaming F17 are both good for general use, though the LG Ultra 16 is somewhat better.
The LG Ultra 16 offers a superior general-use experience with its higher RAM and battery life, lighter weight for greater portability, and a better screen resolution and aspect ratio for more vertical space, compared to the ASUS TUF Gaming F17, which has lower RAM and battery capacity, is heavier thus less portable, and has a standard screen resolution and aspect ratio. The TUF Gaming F17, geared towards gaming with a high refresh rate display and dedicated graphics card, compromises on portability and battery life, aspects which are better optimized in the LG Ultra 16 for general users.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 has a better screen than the LG Ultra 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the LG Ultra 16 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers a vivid display with sufficient resolution and brightness that make it reliable for browsing and video streaming, but its limited color range hampers precision in detailed engineering and design tasks. For the LG Ultra 16, its consistent screen quality provides a clear and bright viewing experience for everyday tasks and professional design work, though still not ideal due to moderate color coverage. Neither laptop is optimal for gaming or 3D rendering because their refresh rates are lower than what's desirable for smooth motion, plus their screen resolutions and panel technologies don't align with the high standards required for these activities.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the LG Ultra 16 compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"Unlike the gram, the Ultra PC isn't designed to be as lightweight as possible. The 16-inch laptop is a whole 400 g (0.88 lb) heavier than its 16-inch gram counterpart partly because its chassis is not made of magnesium. Other than that, the Ultra PC seems like a copy of the gram – but with longer battery life, lower noise levels, and a clean, delicate look."
