The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is a better choice for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or engineering software due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the LG Ultra 16. On the other hand, the LG Ultra 16 is lighter, making it more portable, and its battery lasts much longer, which is great for general use and productivity on the go. With its Vega 8 graphics, the LG can handle everyday tasks well, but it won't perform as strongly as the Legion in demanding graphical applications. Both have 16-inch screens, similar resolution, and ample storage and RAM for typical needs. Choose the Legion for performance in heavy applications or the LG Ultra for everyday use with better battery life and portability. Give Feedback

PCMag

Mark Knapp | August 2023
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."

NotebookCheck

Sebastian Jentsch | October 2022
"Unlike the gram, the Ultra PC isn't designed to be as lightweight as possible. The 16-inch laptop is a whole 400 g (0.88 lb) heavier than its 16-inch gram counterpart partly because its chassis is not made of magnesium. Other than that, the Ultra PC seems like a copy of the gram – but with longer battery life, lower noise levels, and a clean, delicate look."
