The ASUS TUF Gaming F17, being a gaming laptop, is tailored for performance and features a larger screen and dedicated graphics suitable for intensive tasks, including gaming, but is heavier and less portable. The ASUS Vivobook 16X, while also capable of handling demanding applications, has a better balance of portability, including a lighter weight and longer battery life, and also offers a higher resolution screen with better color coverage, making it a good fit for multimedia and general productivity. Both laptops are similarly priced, so your choice depends on whether you prioritize gaming performance or a blend of mobility and screen quality. Give Feedback

The ASUS Vivobook 16X and ASUS TUF Gaming F17 are both good for general use, though the ASUS Vivobook 16X is somewhat better.
The ASUS Vivobook 16X is rated higher for general use because it has a more powerful processor, double the RAM for better multitasking, and a higher-quality screen with better color coverage and brightness, which makes for a more enjoyable viewing experience. Additionally, despite its large screen, it maintains good portability with a lighter weight and a longer battery life, whereas the ASUS TUF Gaming F17, though offering a solid gaming experience with a high-refresh-rate display and dedicated GPU, is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less ideal for on-the-go use.

The ASUS Vivobook 16X is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook 16X offers greater gaming and 3D capabilities due to its superior Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card, which is significantly more powerful than the RTX 3050 Ti found in the ASUS TUF Gaming F17; however, despite a lower screen refresh rate, it still maintains high screen quality, favoring overall performance over screen fluidity.

The ASUS Vivobook 16X is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook 16X is considered very good for engineering and design use because it has a more powerful processor, double the amount of RAM for smooth multitasking, and a superior GPU that can handle intensive graphics tasks better than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17. Additionally, the Vivobook 16X's screen displays colors more accurately and has higher brightness, making it better for design work where color precision is key; these advantages come at the cost of the Vivobook being less portable compared to the Gaming F17.

The ASUS Vivobook 16X has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 may offer satisfactory resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and decent panel technology, but it lacks the color accuracy and wider color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB necessary for precise engineering and design work. The ASUS Vivobook 16X, on the other hand, likely has a display with good color reproduction and sufficient resolution and brightness, making it suitable for general use and visually demanding engineering and design applications. However, neither laptop is ideal for gaming and 3D due to lower refresh rates, which are crucial for smooth motion and a responsive experience in fast-paced visual environments.

"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
