The ASUS Zenbook 14X, with its OLED screen and lighter weight, may be preferable for users seeking a portable and visually impressive experience at a somewhat lower cost. It is well-suited for general use and moderate performance tasks. On the other hand, the Dell G15 5520, with a more powerful RTX 3060 GPU and larger storage capacity, tends to be a bit more expensive but is tailored for more intense gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering applications. Its IPS display offers a high refresh rate, although the device is heavier, impacting portability. Both have similar battery life and are targeted at a similar price range. Choose the Zenbook 14X for portability and screen quality or the Dell G15 5520 for enhanced gaming and performance capabilities. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sebastian Jentsch | April 2022
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
