To help you decide between the ASUS Zenbook 13 and the Dell G15 5520, consider how you'll use the laptop. If your primary focus is on portability and general use, the ASUS Zenbook 13, with its lighter and more compact design, may suit you better. It tends to have longer battery life for everyday tasks like browsing or office work. On the other hand, if you are involved in gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, or demanding engineering software, the Dell G15 5520 is designed for such intensive tasks, offering higher performance at the expense of heavier weight and shorter battery life. Remember, powerful hardware for gaming or professional applications usually costs more and is less portable, so weigh your need for performance against your desire for convenience and budget constraints. How the ASUS Zenbook 13 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ZenBook 13 is a compact 13-inch laptop with a fast Ryzen 7 5800U and OLED display. The subnotebook is also light and the modern design is convincing. The selection of high-quality materials make the device not only light, but also very stable. In addition, the visuals and haptics of the device offers a high-quality impression. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800U is a very good fit for the ZenBook 13, ensuring a high performance in the test. However, in terms of the 3D performance, we also notice that the Vega architecture is beginning to hit its limits."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
