Based on the comparison, if performance in 3D rendering, engineering, or machine learning is crucial for you, the ASUS Zenbook 13 with its AMD Ryzen 7 processor offers a solid option, although the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i with an Intel i7 processor and more RAM provides slightly better capability for such tasks. If your priority is portability and light usage, the ASUS's lighter weight and marginally smaller size could be advantageous. The Lenovo, however, offers a slightly longer battery life which may be important if you’re frequently away from power outlets. Both laptops share a similar price point, so your decision may rest on specific features: if you need more memory right away, the Lenovo has double the RAM of the ASUS, which can aid with multitasking and more demanding programs. Neither laptop is ideal for intensive gaming despite both being capable of some gaming activities. The ASUS has an OLED screen known for vibrant colors, which might be more appealing if image quality is important to you, while the Lenovo's IPS panel provides reliable color accuracy and viewing angles. Finally, the keyboards and build quality are relatively comparable, making them both suitable for general productivity tasks. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sebastian Bade | May 2021
"The Asus ZenBook 13 is a compact 13-inch laptop with a fast Ryzen 7 5800U and OLED display. The subnotebook is also light and the modern design is convincing. The selection of high-quality materials make the device not only light, but also very stable. In addition, the visuals and haptics of the device offers a high-quality impression. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800U is a very good fit for the ZenBook 13, ensuring a high performance in the test. However, in terms of the 3D performance, we also notice that the Vega architecture is beginning to hit its limits."

PCMag

Ted Needleman | January 2022
"Among Lenovo's multiple laptop brands, the IdeaPad family is decidedly the one designed for consumers: people who want decent performance at a reasonable price. Consider, then, this laptop a paragon for the pickier members of that crowd. With a 14-inch touch-enabled display, a comfortable keyboard, an Evo-certified Intel Core i7 11th Generation CPU, and the latest Windows 11 operating system, the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro ultraportable ($1,199 as tested) is a slick mainstream machine at a bit of a premium price, and quite capable for everyday tasks."
