If you prioritize performance for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering software, the ASUS Vivobook 16X with its more powerful processor and graphics card would be the better option despite being more expensive. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more budget-friendly laptop for general use or gaming with decent performance, the HP Victus 15 is a solid choice and may also offer better portability due to a slightly lighter design. Keep in mind that the ASUS offers a better display and potentially longer battery life, which might be important if you're frequently working on the go or consuming media. Give Feedback

The ASUS Vivobook 16X is good for gaming and AI, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook 16X is better for gaming and 3D applications because it has a more powerful Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a higher screen refresh rate of 120 Hz compared to the HP Victus 15, which comes with a less robust Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. While both have IPS displays for good screen quality, the stronger GPU in the ASUS provides smoother graphics rendering, which is critical for these activities, even though the refresh rate is slightly lower.

The ASUS Vivobook 16X has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Vivobook 16X's panel, with its resolution and brightness, delivers a crisp and vibrant display suitable for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work, but its lower refresh rate limits its performance in fast-paced gaming and 3D applications. The HP Victus 15 offers a balance with satisfactory resolution and brightness for general use and adequate performance for engineering tasks, though its screen might not be as vivid as the Vivobook's due to lesser color accuracy. Both laptops struggle with gaming and 3D due to insufficient refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid visuals in these high-motion environments.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16X and the HP Victus 15 compare to other laptops
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
