The ASUS Vivobook 16X is often significantly more expensive, and it provides better performance for intensive tasks such as engineering and gaming, but it is less portable due to its larger size and weight. The LG Ultra 16 is less expensive and offers a balance of portability and power, making it suitable for general use, but it may not handle intensive tasks as well as the ASUS. If you prioritize performance over cost and don't mind a heavier laptop, the ASUS Vivobook 16X is a better choice; however, for everyday use and easier carrying, the LG Ultra 16 is more appropriate. Tech Critter

Kok Kee | February 2023
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."

NotebookCheck

Sebastian Jentsch | October 2022
"Unlike the gram, the Ultra PC isn't designed to be as lightweight as possible. The 16-inch laptop is a whole 400 g (0.88 lb) heavier than its 16-inch gram counterpart partly because its chassis is not made of magnesium. Other than that, the Ultra PC seems like a copy of the gram – but with longer battery life, lower noise levels, and a clean, delicate look."
