The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers a larger screen and is slightly thinner but has a less powerful processor and graphics card compared to the Lenovo LOQ 16, which also has more RAM and a higher resolution display. Both laptops are similarly priced and have comparable weight, but the Lenovo has a longer battery life and a higher-quality display including color coverage, making it a better choice for tasks like 3D rendering or engineering work. The ASUS might appeal for those who prefer a larger screen and prioritize gaming aesthetics. Give Feedback

The Lenovo LOQ 16 and ASUS TUF Gaming F17 are both good for general use, though the Lenovo LOQ 16 is somewhat better.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17, with its larger size, less RAM, and shorter battery life, is less suited for general use compared to the Lenovo LOQ 16, which offers double the RAM for smoother multitasking, a higher resolution and brighter display for better screen quality, and a longer battery life for extended use away from power outlets. The Lenovo also benefits from a more recent CPU and is slightly more portable due to its smaller size and the same weight as the ASUS, making it a better match for general use scenarios.

The Lenovo LOQ 16 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17's screen provides ample brightness and resolution for everyday tasks, but it lacks wide color gamuts essential for precision in engineering and design, and its lower refresh rate limits the smoothness desired in Gaming and 3D applications. The Lenovo LOQ 16's display matches the ASUS in general use with its adequate brightness and resolution, but surges ahead with better color reproduction for professional creative work, although it too falls short in refresh rate for optimal Gaming and 3D performance. For both, gamers and 3D designers should consider other models with higher refresh rates to ensure fluid visuals.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the Lenovo LOQ 16 compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
