The Lenovo LOQ 16 is a lower midrange-priced laptop offering good value, featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and an Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU, which should provide robust performance for general use and more demanding 3D tasks, machine learning, and light engineering work. It has a 16:10 aspect ratio IPS display, which is favorable for productivity and content creation, though it does not have a touchscreen. With 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM, it's equipped to handle most workloads comfortably. The 60Wh battery provides about 6 hours of typical usage, so while it's not leading in battery life, it should be sufficient for moderate use away from a power source. Its weight of 5.73 pounds affects portability but is typical for a laptop geared toward performance. For connectivity, the LOQ 16 includes USB-C with charging support, standard USB-C, and HDMI ports, but lacks Thunderbolt. Additionally, it boasts a backlit keyboard, numeric keypad, and supports hardware ray tracing and DLSS for improved graphic rendering, positioning it as a capable system for gaming as well. NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | September 2023
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
