The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is a solid choice for gaming and engineering tasks, offering a powerful Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU and a high refresh rate screen, which is great for fast-paced games. However, it's bulkier and heavier, making it less portable, and the battery life is shorter compared to the Vivobook. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED is more portable, has a stunning OLED display with higher resolution and color accuracy, making it excellent for general use and creative work. It also has a more modern design and longer battery life. While it's not as powerful for gaming and intensive engineering tasks due to its Intel Arc GPU, it's still capable of handling everyday tasks with ease. If you prioritize performance for gaming and engineering, the TUF F17 is the way to go, but if you value portability, battery life, and a superior display for general use, the Vivobook S 16 OLED is the better option. How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
