If you prioritize gaming or intensive tasks such as 3D rendering and require a high-performance GPU, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is a strong option though it comes at a higher price and is heavier, affecting portability. On the other hand, if general use, portability, and a lower price are more important to you, the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 might be a better fit. It offers competent performance for everyday activities, is lighter and slimmer, and may have longer battery life, but it won't handle demanding gaming or engineering applications as well as the ASUS. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 is only fair.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15, boasting a powerful Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and a high screen refresh rate of 144Hz, is more suitable for gaming and 3D applications, offering smoother visuals and better performance. In contrast, the Dell Inspiron 16 5625's AMD Ryzen 7 5825U Vega 8 integrated graphics and a standard refresh rate of 60Hz make it fair for casual gaming, but it doesn't match the high performance or fluidity ideal for more demanding gaming and 3D tasks.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 outmatches the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 in engineering and design use by offering a more powerful Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU for demanding tasks, and its larger storage capacity serves well for extensive projects, though it is slightly heavier and thicker, making it less portable. While the Dell Inspiron is lighter and offers a higher resolution screen with touchscreen capability which might be beneficial for certain design tasks, its integrated AMD GPU is less capable for graphics-intensive engineering software.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 has a better screen for content creation.
For general use, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15's higher resolution and brightness make it superior to the Dell Inspiron for tasks like browsing and watching videos, but both have similar panel types, making them adequate in this regard. The fair screen quality for both laptops for engineering and design is due to their limited coverage of color gamuts, reducing color accuracy essential for precise work. However, poor gaming and 3D performance on both is mainly because of their lower refresh rates, which limit the smoothness of motion essential for such interactive applications, even though the ASUS might have a slight edge with its better panel type and resolution.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"I think there is fair value in the Inspiron 16 this year. Very little has changed with the laptop and my opinion hasn’t really changed either. In other words, I like it. Overall, I think the pros far outweigh the cons of this laptop and the price is certainly justifiable. I found this to be a great typer and I could potentially work all day on this machine, provided I don’t need a graphics card."
