The Dell G15 5520 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 for gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 may provide a pleasant viewing experience due to its adequate resolution and brightness, but the Dell G15 5520 offers a similar level of clarity and brightness, making both good choices for everyday tasks like browsing and streaming videos. In engineering and design, color accuracy is crucial, which is where the Dell G15 5520 has an edge with its wider color gamuts, ensuring that designers see more accurate shades and tones. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the slower refresh rates on both laptops may not deliver the smooth visuals preferred in fast-paced games or high-frame-rate 3D rendering, though the resolution and panel type may still provide satisfactory image quality for less demanding scenarios.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
