If you prioritize high-end gaming and demanding applications, the ASUS ROG Strix G18 offers superior performance but comes at a higher cost and may be less portable due to its size and weight. However, if you're looking for a balance between performance, affordability, and easier transportation, the Dell G15 might be a better fit. It can handle most tasks well but might not perform as smoothly with the most intensive software or latest games. Consider also the battery life, as a more powerful laptop like the ASUS might require more frequent charging than the Dell. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G18 has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix G18 offers a high-resolution display with excellent brightness and panel quality, which enhances visual clarity and detail for general use and is ideal for precision work required in engineering and design due to its wide color gamuts. However, its lower refresh rate means it's less suited for gaming and 3D applications, where smoother motion representation is key. In contrast, the Dell G15 5520 also delivers good resolution and color accuracy for day-to-day tasks and professional design work, but like the ASUS, falls short for gaming and 3D due to a less optimal refresh rate.

"With the ROG Strix G18, Asus has made an almost consistently good debut in the still quite new 18-inch laptop segment. The base unit case shows a few signs of weakness in the area of stability and is something which has an effect on the perceived quality of the input devices (the chassis tends to rattle a bit). Nevertheless, thanks to generous port features (incl. Thunderbolt 4), a striking design, and extensive lighting (keyboard, LED strip on the front), gamers get a fitting gaming platform."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
