When choosing between the ASUS ROG Strix and the Dell Alienware m15, consider that the ASUS usually offers higher performance for demanding tasks like gaming or 3D rendering, but it may be bulkier and heavier, which makes it less convenient to carry around. The Alienware, while also built for performance, often focuses on design and may offer a balance between portability and power. Battery life on gaming laptops can be limited, so either option may need frequent charging with intense use. Select the ASUS if performance is your top priority, or the Alienware if you prefer a balance between power and design. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | March 2023
"With the ROG Strix G18, Asus has made an almost consistently good debut in the still quite new 18-inch laptop segment. The base unit case shows a few signs of weakness in the area of stability and is something which has an effect on the perceived quality of the input devices (the chassis tends to rattle a bit). Nevertheless, thanks to generous port features (incl. Thunderbolt 4), a striking design, and extensive lighting (keyboard, LED strip on the front), gamers get a fitting gaming platform."

Tom's Hardware

Brandon Hill | October 2022
"The Alienware M15 offers solid gaming and leading endurance. It makes the most of its CPU and GPU while delivering stellar battery life for a gaming laptop. Opening the lid presents a full-size keyboard with honeycomb cutouts above it on the deck. An oblong RBG lightning element surrounds the entire rear panel and can be color-synced with the other lights on the laptop. There’s not a lot to dislike about the M15 Its productivity performance lagged in some areas, particularly in the storage benchmark, and it’s a bit heavy. Alienware has a clear winner here with the M15 based on its strong overall performance and endurance."
