Choosing between the ASUS ROG Strix G16 and the Dell G15 5520 hinges on personal preferences and needs. If storage capacity is a priority, the Dell with double the storage of the Asus would serve you better. For those seeking longer unplugged usage, the Asus has a higher battery capacity, potentially offering more usage time between charges. Gamers and professionals needing a high-performance machine for 3D rendering, machine learning, or intensive engineering tasks might prefer the Asus due to its superior processing power and graphics. Conversely, the Dell comes at a cheaper price and almost matches the Asus in performance, making it a value choice without a significant compromise. The Dell also has a slightly better keyboard according to evaluations. In terms of portability, both laptops are similar in size and weight, making them moderately portable, but they are not the lightest options available. Screen quality is comparable; however, colours may appear more accurately on the Asus. If gaming appearance is important, the Asus carries a distinctive look. Finally, for future upgrades, the Asus offers more available RAM and storage slots. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix G16 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
