The Acer Nitro 16 and ASUS ROG Strix G16 are similarly priced and equipped with comparable storage and memory, meaning your cost and basic specifications are the same. The Acer Nitro features an AMD processor and RTX 4070 graphics, suitable for demanding tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning. In contrast, the ASUS has an Intel processor and RTX 4060 graphics, offering a bit less raw power for intensive tasks but impressively performing for engineering and general use. Portability between the two is close, with the ASUS being slightly lighter. Both have high refresh rate displays, but the Acer tops in resolution and brightness, offering clearer and more vibrant visuals, important for graphical work. The keyboards and build quality are rated well for both, ensuring a comfortable typing experience and durability. Their battery life for typical use is the same, making them equally good for on-the-go usage. If you lean towards more visually-intensive tasks and prefer a brighter, higher resolution display, the Acer might be a better fit, while if you prioritize a bit more portability and solid performance across various tasks including engineering, the ASUS is a compelling choice. NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2023
"Video editing, rendering and, of course, gaming represent the Nitro 16's core competencies with a Ryzen 7 7735HS and GeForce RTX 4070 providing the necessary power. Both chips run at consistently high clock speeds. A fast PCIe 4 SSD (1 TB) provides the required storage space and ensures short loading times. With the Nitro 16 AN16-41, Acer has a well-specced, mid-range gaming laptop in its portfolio."

NotebookCheck

Marc Herter | March 2023
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."
