The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020) excels in build quality, battery life, and silent operation due to its fanless design, suited for general use with good screen color accuracy. The HP Spectre x360, however, offers a larger, touchscreen display, higher storage and RAM, better webcam quality, and is more recent, possibly making it better for tasks requiring more power, like engineering or 3D work, but with a shorter battery life and more weight to carry. The MacBook Pro generally costs more whereas the Spectre may provide a better price-to-performance ratio and versatility due to its 2-in-1 design. Give Feedback

The HP Spectre x360 has a better screen than the Apple MacBook Pro 13 for content creation, and software development.
The MacBook Pro 13's Retina display offers vibrant colors and sharp resolution, making it excellent for both general use and engineering design work requiring precise color representation. However, its standard 60Hz refresh rate is not ideal for 3D work, where higher refresh rates can significantly enhance the fluidity of fast-moving images. The HP Spectre x360 also shines in resolution and color accuracy crucial for both everyday tasks and professional design, but just like the MacBook, it falls short for gaming and 3D applications due to lacking a high refresh rate display.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020) and the HP Spectre x360 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"As we said, Lenovo's Yoga 9i is a tough competitor to the Spectre with an equally admirable OLED display. We're sad that neither of them has an HDMI port nor a niche or slot to hold the stylus, though the HP wins points for its bundled mini docking station and magnetically attached pen. Your choice will come down to screen shape—and in our eyes, just as seeing an OLED screen spoils you for an IPS panel, enjoying a tall 3:2 display spoils you for a more conventional view. The HP Spectre x360 13.5 is our new favorite 2-in-1."
