The Apple MacBook Pro 13 with its M1 chip is great for general use and offers longer battery life and higher build quality, making it especially suited for productivity tasks that benefit from a higher-resolution screen and light design for portability. On the other hand, the ASUS ROG Strix G15, equipped with an AMD Ryzen processor and Nvidia graphics, is tailored for intense gaming, 3D rendering and engineering, delivering robust performance but at the expense of battery life and with added weight. Both are priced similarly, so your decision should hinge on whether your priority is gaming and high-performance tasks or portability and battery life for everyday computing. Give Feedback

When considering 3D work, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 falls behind due to its lower refresh rate, which is less ideal for the smooth rendering of fast-motion graphics required in 3D applications, while the MacBook Pro, despite its high resolution and quality panel, also isn't optimized for high-refresh-rate needs typical in 3D usage.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020) and the ASUS ROG Strix G15 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a successful high-performance 15-inch laptop. The Asus ROG Strix impresses with an elaborate design and fast hardware. The latter can unleash its potential well in the large 15-inch case and achieve a decent performance boost compared to the previous generation. Especially the stunning 300 Hz display as well as the RTX 3070 and its generous TDP give gamers their money's worth. Asus didn't neglect seemingly small details, either, such as the keyboard and the maintenance options. The ROG Strix G15 offers a lot of pure performance and excellent workmanship in a 15-inch format, but connectivity leaves something to be desired."
