The ASUS Vivobook 16X, with its dedicated Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card, excels in 3D rendering, machine learning, and general engineering tasks but falls short on battery life compared to the HP Spectre x360. If portability and touchscreen capabilities, along with higher screen resolution, are your priorities, the Spectre x360 might serve you better. Both laptops are reasonably portable; however, the Spectre has approximately double the battery life, making it a better choice for extended use away from power outlets. Give Feedback

The HP Spectre x360 is very good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook 16X is good.
The HP Spectre x360 stands out for general use with its higher-resolution touchscreen, better portability, and longer battery life, making it suitable for versatile day-to-day tasks and providing the convenience of tablet mode. Whereas, the ASUS Vivobook 16X, despite a capable processor and graphics unit, falls slightly behind due to its lower screen resolution and shorter battery life, though it may be better suited for tasks requiring more graphical power.

The ASUS Vivobook 16X has a better screen than the HP Spectre x360 for gaming and AI, while the HP Spectre x360 has a better screen for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook 16X provides a pleasant viewing experience with its satisfactory resolution and brightness, while the HP Spectre x360 offers a more vibrant and sharp display with higher resolution and better brightness, making text and images crisper. When it comes to engineering and design, both laptops have respectable color coverage essential for precision in color work, but the HP's superior color gamut support ensures more accurate color representation critical for professional design tasks. However, for gaming and 3D applications, neither laptop excels due to their lower refresh rates, which can result in less smooth visuals during fast-paced scenes, although their resolutions and panel types are adequate for moderate-level details.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16X and the HP Spectre x360 compare to other laptops
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
"As we said, Lenovo's Yoga 9i is a tough competitor to the Spectre with an equally admirable OLED display. We're sad that neither of them has an HDMI port nor a niche or slot to hold the stylus, though the HP wins points for its bundled mini docking station and magnetically attached pen. Your choice will come down to screen shape—and in our eyes, just as seeing an OLED screen spoils you for an IPS panel, enjoying a tall 3:2 display spoils you for a more conventional view. The HP Spectre x360 13.5 is our new favorite 2-in-1."
