The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is often less expensive and provides good value for general use with a decently large screen, battery life, and performance for day-to-day tasks. It's suitable if you prioritize a lower price and a numeric keypad. On the other hand, the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14" costs a bit more but offers higher performance, especially for 3D and machine learning tasks, gaming, and engineering software, due to its more powerful processor and dedicated graphics card. It also has a higher resolution and brighter screen with better color accuracy, longer battery life, and a more portable design, making it better for professionals and power users who need a higher performance laptop on the go. Alex Iliev | April 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."

Matthew S. Smith | May 2023
"The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 is an attractive, portable laptop that’s ideal if you need a combination of CPU and GPU performance. It also nails the fundamentals with solid connectivity, an enjoyable keyboard, a large touchpad, and top-notch webcam. Display quality is a weakness, but it’s an acceptable compromise for the laptop’s extremely competitive $1,199 MSRP. The Slim Pro 7 is a versatile, affordable laptop and hard to beat for the price."
