The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1's screen provides adequate clarity and visibility with fair resolution and brightness, while the Slim Pro 7 offers sharper images and more comfortable viewing with its higher resolution and better brightness. When it comes to engineering and design, the Slim Pro 7's display covers a wider range of colors, making it more suitable for precision work that requires color accuracy. However, for Gaming and 3D applications where a high refresh rate is crucial, neither the IdeaPad 1 nor the Slim Pro 7's screens are ideal, as both have lower refresh rates that may not keep up with fast-paced visuals.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" and the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
"The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 is an attractive, portable laptop that’s ideal if you need a combination of CPU and GPU performance. It also nails the fundamentals with solid connectivity, an enjoyable keyboard, a large touchpad, and top-notch webcam. Display quality is a weakness, but it’s an acceptable compromise for the laptop’s extremely competitive $1,199 MSRP. The Slim Pro 7 is a versatile, affordable laptop and hard to beat for the price."
