The HP EliteBook 845 G9 stands out for its performance and portability, with a newer AMD Ryzen processor and a lightweight design, making it ideal for professionals who need to work on the go. It also boasts a higher screen resolution and aspect ratio, offering better screen real estate and clarity for tasks like document editing and spreadsheet work. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" features a larger screen size which is great for media consumption but comes with a standard resolution and aspect ratio. However, despite having a powerful AMD Ryzen processor, it's heavier and may not be as convenient to carry around as the HP EliteBook. The Lenovo IdeaPad also has a lower battery capacity, potentially resulting in shorter usage time between charges. Both laptops are equipped with ample storage and run on Windows 11, with the HP version being Pro, which may offer additional business-focused features. Consider the EliteBook if performance and portability are priorities, or the IdeaPad if you prefer a larger screen for multimedia activities. Give Feedback

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The HP EliteBook's superior screen resolution and brightness make it well-suited for general and engineering tasks, offering clear visuals and color accuracy that professionals in those fields value. However, its lower refresh rate hinders gaming and 3D applications, where fluid motion and rapid screen updates are crucial for an optimal experience. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1's fair screen quality across general use and engineering design indicates adequate resolution and brightness, but it lacks the advanced color range and high refresh rates needed for top-tier graphics work and fast-paced games.

How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
