The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you need a laptop primarily for browsing and document editing, both the Dell Inspiron and Lenovo IdeaPad offer displays that suffice, but they may not be exceptionally sharp or bright. For engineering and design, the limited color coverage on these models means colors won't be as vibrant or accurate as specialized displays, potentially affecting detailed visual work. Gamers and 3D designers will find the low refresh rates on these laptops inadequate for smooth motion and may notice less crisp visuals due to the moderate importance of resolution and panel type.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
