The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is often significantly less expensive and offers ample performance for general use with decent portability. However, for more intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning or gaming, the Lenovo LOQ 15, which is often significantly more expensive, has a more powerful processor and a dedicated Nvidia graphics card, alongside a higher battery capacity. It may not be as lightweight or offer as long battery life during typical use compared to the IdeaPad 1 15", impacting its portability, but it provides greater performance for demanding applications. The Lenovo LOQ 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" provides an adequate display for everyday tasks with acceptable resolution and brightness, but it lacks the advanced color coverage needed for precision in engineering and design, and its refresh rate isn't high enough to satisfy the smooth visuals demanded by 3D applications and gaming. On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 15 offers a crisper display and broader color gamut, meeting the finer requirements for engineering and design professionals, though it still falls short for gaming and 3D work due to a subpar refresh rate. Generally, both laptops are competent for standard use and professional design tasks, but serious gamers and those working with motion graphics might find them lacking in fluidity and speed.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" and the Lenovo LOQ 15 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
