The Lenovo LOQ 15 generally costs more and offers better performance for intensive engineering tasks due to its processor and graphics combo, higher RAM, and better keyboard quality. It also has a slightly longer battery life, but it's not as portable and has lower screen color accuracy than the MSI Cyborg 15. The MSI Cyborg 15 is more affordable, with a more portable design, higher screen brightness, and higher color space coverage, making it suitable for tasks requiring better screen colors. It has a powerful graphics card but is slightly handicapped by a weaker processor and less RAM. If your budget allows and you need the performance for engineering work, go for the Lenovo; if portability and color accuracy for media consumption are priorities, consider the MSI Cyborg 15. The Lenovo LOQ 15 has a better screen than the MSI Cyborg 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The Lenovo LOQ 15 likely has a high-resolution display with good brightness and color accuracy, making it suitable for daily tasks and engineering applications where detail and color representation are key. However, its lower refresh rate may not be ideal for 3D applications and gaming, where smoother motion is crucial. On the other hand, the MSI Cyborg 15, with adequate resolution and brightness, offers a balanced display for everyday and professional work but also falls short for gaming and 3D content due to its insufficient refresh rate.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 and MSI Cyborg 15 are both good for general use.
The Lenovo LOQ 15 is valued for general use because of its capable AMD processor, 16GB of RAM providing smooth multitasking, a good quality IPS screen, and a respectable battery life, though it's heavier and slightly less portable. In contrast, the MSI Cyborg 15 offers a powerful Intel processor and gaming-focused RTX GPU, slightly better battery life, and lighter weight for easier portability, but with half the RAM, which may limit performance in heavy multitasking scenarios.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 and MSI Cyborg 15 are both good for engineering and design.
The Lenovo LOQ 15 is better suited for engineering and design use due to higher RAM capacity and a superior AMD Ryzen processor, which enhance multitasking and computational performance, while its screen displays colors more accurately, key for design work. Conversely, the MSI Cyborg 15, while still capable, has less RAM, which may slow down performance with intensive tasks, and an Intel i7 processor, which is competent but generally considered a step below in comparison to the AMD Ryzen in the Lenovo for these specific uses.

How the Lenovo LOQ 15 and the MSI Cyborg 15 compare to other laptops
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
