The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is a more budget-friendly option suitable for general use, with ample storage and good battery life, making it portable and convenient for everyday tasks. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" offers higher performance, particularly for 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming due to its more powerful processor and dedicated graphics card. It also has a higher quality display with a faster refresh rate, which is better for fast motion and color-intensive tasks. However, it is heavier and slightly less portable, with a marginally shorter battery life compared to the IdeaPad. If you prioritize gaming or demanding engineering and creative work, the Legion Slim 7 could be a better choice, while for casual use and portability, the IdeaPad 1 should suffice. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
When considering general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad's screen has acceptable resolution and brightness but may not be as sharp or vivid as the pricier Legion Slim 7, which offers better visuals and clarity for tasks like browsing and video streaming. For engineering and design applications, the Legion Slim 7's display supports a wider color gamut, providing more accurate color reproduction, which is crucial for professional photo editing and graphic design. However, for 3D applications and gaming, both laptops' displays lag behind due to lower refresh rates, which can result in less fluid motion and slower response times during fast-paced scenes.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
