For general use with a need for high portability and battery efficiency, the HP EliteBook 845 G9 is a suitable option, being lighter and offering features such as a premium build and enterprise-level security. However, if you require a laptop for more intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is designed for such performance-heavy use, thanks to its higher-powered processor and dedicated graphics card yet at the cost of heavier weight and possibly lower battery life. The HP may suffice for lighter workloads and is slightly less expensive, whereas the Lenovo, although pricier, is tailored for demanding software and multitasking needs. Give Feedback

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 provides a balance between resolution and brightness suitable for tasks like web browsing and document editing, making it a solid choice for general use, and its color gamut coverage is adequate for professionals in engineering and design who need color accuracy, but its lower refresh rate makes it less ideal for 3D applications and gaming. The Lenovo Legion 5 15", while offering a high-quality screen for everyday tasks with good resolution and brightness, also has a color gamut that can satisfy most engineering and design requirements; however, its lower refresh rate does not support the smooth visuals demanded by high-end gaming and 3D rendering. Choosing between these laptops depends on whether color fidelity for professional work or the smooth visuals for gaming and 3D graphics is more critical for your needs.

How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
