If portability is a key concern and you need a laptop with a touchscreen, the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo is more compact and lightweight than the Gateway 14.1", which doesn't have a touchscreen. However, the Gateway is more affordable if budget is a priority. The MSI also has significantly more storage and memory, better supporting demanding tasks like engineering, 3D modeling, or machine learning, while the Gateway is adequate for general use with less demanding applications. Both devices offer basic integrated graphics; however, MSI's graphics are better suited for visually intensive tasks. The MSI comes with a newer version of Windows and a backlit keyboard, with higher overall build quality, whereas the Gateway focuses on providing the essentials at a lower price. Give Feedback

The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo has a better screen than the Gateway 14.1" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Gateway 14.1" likely has a screen with adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and casual use, making it sufficient for general activities, but it may not offer the wide color gamut needed for precision in engineering and design tasks. The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo typically has better color accuracy and higher resolution, which benefits engineering and design work where detail and color fidelity are crucial. Neither is optimal for gaming or 3D applications due to lower refresh rates, which can make fast-paced visuals less smooth and reduce the overall experience.

"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."
"MSI wants to prove that it can do more than just gaming laptops and the Summit E13 Flip is a great example of what the manufacturer is capable of especially in terms of aesthetics and performance. Normally for subnotebooks or convertibles, TDP and performance are often below average as makers want to meet slimmer designs and lower weight targets. The Summit manages to outperform others in its size class and category while still looking sleek and portable in the process. If you want a convertible that won't throttle significantly when under load, then this MSI will be one of the better options you can find."
