The Gateway 14.1" has a better screen than the Gateway 11.6" for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Gateway 11.6" laptop likely struggles with screen quality across the board due to a low resolution and lackluster brightness, making texts and images less sharp and less vivid for everyday tasks. Its smaller screen size and potentially sub-par color accuracy may not provide the wide color gamuts required for precise engineering and design work. For 3D and gaming, its mediocre resolution and possible lack of a high refresh rate panel can lead to less fluid visuals and slower response times, thereby affecting the overall experience.

The Gateway 14.1" and Gateway 11.6" are both poor for general use.
The Gateway 11.6" and Gateway 14.1" are labeled as poor for general use primarily because they come with low-powered Intel Celeron processors and just 4GB of RAM, which are not sufficient for seamless multitasking and can lead to sluggish performance. Additionally, while they have respectable portability and decent battery life, their screen quality and storage are limited, which can detract from the overall user experience, with the smaller 11.6" model having a particularly low-resolution display.

The Gateway 14.1" and Gateway 11.6" are both poor for gaming and AI.
The Gateway 11.6" and Gateway 14.1" laptops are poor for gaming and 3D because they both have the Intel UHD Graphics 600 which lacks the power for graphically intensive tasks and a screen refresh rate of 60 Hz, which doesn't support the smoother visuals often preferred in gaming. Additionally, both have an Intel Celeron N4020 processor that may not handle gaming and 3D workloads well, and the screen quality is modest, with the 11.6" having a lower resolution than the 14.1", further compromising the visual experience.

How the Gateway 11.6" and the Gateway 14.1" compare to other laptops
"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."
