For general use, the Gateway 14.1" offers a budget-friendly option with basic performance and is extremely portable, making it suitable for everyday tasks and light work. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aero 5, with a higher price, boasts significantly better performance suitable for intensive engineering tasks, 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. The Aero 5 has a high-quality OLED screen which is great for color-intensive work but is less portable due to its larger size and weight. Consider the Gateway if you prioritize cost savings and portability for everyday use, or the Gigabyte Aero 5 for powerful performance and a top-notch display at the expense of portability and higher cost. NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | September 2021
"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."

The Tech Revolutionist

Zhi Cheng | May 2022
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
