The Dell G15 5520 offers solid performance for gaming and general use with a higher max refresh rate and better heat management, which may appeal to those prioritizing a smooth visual gaming experience and longer sessions without overheating. However, for those valuing clearer and more vibrant screen colors, as well as a higher resolution for tasks like photo editing or CAD work, the Lenovo LOQ 16 may be the better option, considering its better color coverage and screen resolution, despite it having a slightly lower refresh rate. Both laptops are similarly priced, so it comes down to whether you prioritize gaming performance or display quality for creative work. They also have similar portability, making neither a clear winner for users on the go. Give Feedback

How the Dell G15 5520 and the Lenovo LOQ 16 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
