The Dell G15 5520, with its higher price, offers a powerful processor and dedicated graphics card which make it suitable for intensive tasks including gaming, engineering applications, and 3D/modeling work. It also has a larger display with a higher refresh rate, making it ideal for an immersive gaming experience and video editing. However, its heavier weight and larger size reduce portability. Conversely, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14" is a budget-friendly option with a less powerful processor and graphics, making it appropriate for basic tasks like web browsing, document editing, and streaming videos. It is also lighter and more portable, but may struggle with more demanding software and multitasking. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 is good for general use, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14" is only fair.
The Dell G15 5520, with its higher-performance CPU, more RAM, and superior screen resolution, provides more power and detail for everyday tasks, while its bulkier and heavier build may limit portability compared to the lighter Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14", which offers modest performance due to its basic processor, less RAM, and lower screen quality, yet has longer battery life and easier transport.

The Dell G15 5520 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14" is poor.
The Dell G15 5520 is better suited for engineering and design due to its high-performance CPU, substantial RAM, and advanced GPU, alongside a quality IPS screen to display detailed designs; whereas the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14" has a basic CPU, less RAM, and an integrated graphics solution with a lower quality TN screen, making it less capable for demanding tasks and precise design work. Although the Lenovo is more portable and operates quietly, it lacks the power and screen fidelity that engineering and design professionals require.

The Dell G15 5520 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Dell G15's higher resolution and brightness make it more suitable for tasks like browsing or document editing, while the Lenovo IdeaPad suffers from lower resolution and dimmer display. Engineering and design professionals will find the Dell G15's wider color gamut conducive for accurate color work, but the IdeaPad's limited color range may be a drawback. Gamers and 3D designers typically prefer fast refresh rates, which are lacking in the Dell G15, leading to less smooth visuals compared to laptops designed for gaming, and the Lenovo IdeaPad also falls short in this area.

"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"The IdeaPad 1 14 is a simple machine, but it’s well-designed and has nearly everything you’d expect from a no-nonsense laptop that allows you to check emails and get schoolwork or other light tasks done with relative ease. A "true" 128GB SSD (as opposed to an eMMC drive) and a roomy 14-inch full HD display are arguably the star attractions, with the comfortable keyboard and reasonably modern styling playing important backup roles."
