The Dell G15 5520 has a more powerful processor and a higher tier graphics card compared to the HP Victus 15, making it better suited for intensive tasks like engineering, 3D modeling, or high-end gaming. In contrast, the HP Victus 15 is slightly lighter and thinner, which may be beneficial if portability is a priority. Furthermore, if you're budget-conscious, the HP Victus 15 can be a viable option as it is less expensive yet still capable for general use and moderately demanding tasks. However, with a smaller storage capacity and less RAM, performance may be limited for multitasking or large projects compared to the Dell G15 5520. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Dell G15 5520 offers a screen with resolution and brightness that suit everyday tasks and provide clear, vivid images for engineering applications, along with a broad color spectrum that appeals to design professionals. However, its lower refresh rate hinders the smooth visuals crucial for gaming and 3D work, where fluid motion is key. Conversely, the HP Victus 15’s screen quality suffices for daily activities and presents colors decently for design tasks, but its limited color range and lackluster refresh rate fall short for high-end engineering work and fail to deliver the seamless gaming experience that rapid motion graphics demand.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
