The Dell G15 5520 is better for gaming and intense engineering tasks with its higher performance graphics card, while the HP Spectre x360 offers more portability, longer battery life and comes with a touchscreen. The Dell is suitable for users needing a robust laptop for demanding programs and games, albeit with a shorter battery span compared to the HP. The HP Spectre, on the other hand, would suit users looking for a versatile machine that's easier to carry around and has longer usage away from a power source, with the added benefit of a high-resolution touchscreen for more interactive tasks. Both laptops have similar core specifications but are optimized for different use cases. Give Feedback

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."

PCMag

Eric Grevstad | August 2022
"As we said, Lenovo's Yoga 9i is a tough competitor to the Spectre with an equally admirable OLED display. We're sad that neither of them has an HDMI port nor a niche or slot to hold the stylus, though the HP wins points for its bundled mini docking station and magnetically attached pen. Your choice will come down to screen shape—and in our eyes, just as seeing an OLED screen spoils you for an IPS panel, enjoying a tall 3:2 display spoils you for a more conventional view. The HP Spectre x360 13.5 is our new favorite 2-in-1."
