For general use, the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED offers a stunning OLED screen with high resolution, making it excellent for vibrant color work and multimedia enjoyment; it's also more portable due to its lighter weight. However, if your primary interest is in gaming or engineering applications that require powerful graphics processing, the Dell G15 5520, with its dedicated Nvidia graphics card and higher storage capacity, would be the better choice, although it is heavier and less portable. Keep in mind that the Dell's battery life may be shorter when using intensive applications compared to the ASUS. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED is only fair.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED provides an average gaming experience due to its Intel i5-13500H Iris Xe graphics, which is less capable than dedicated gaming GPUs, paired with a 120Hz OLED screen which does offer good visual quality but not the highest refresh rates for competitive gaming. In contrast, the Dell G15 5520 excels in gaming with its powerful Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU and a higher 165Hz refresh rate screen, better suited for fast-paced games and demanding 3D applications.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Dell G15 5520 has a better screen for software development.
If you prioritize a vibrant display and accurate colors for tasks like photo editing or graphic design, the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED, with its high-resolution OLED panel, delivers better contrast and covers a wider color spectrum, which is essential for engineering and design work. However, for everyday use like browsing the web or using office applications, both laptops will serve you well, as their screens are sufficiently bright and sharp. But, if you're into gaming or 3D modeling, neither of these laptops is ideal, as they lack the high refresh rates that provide smoother visuals and better responsiveness in fast-paced scenarios.

The Dell G15 5520 and ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED are both good for general use.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED caters to general use with its vivid OLED screen, lighter weight, and compact design, making it easy to carry and pleasant for everyday tasks, but its battery life is moderate. Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Dell G15 5520 to be very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED is good.
The Dell G15 5520 is highly regarded for engineering and design due to its superior CPU, double the RAM, and a more powerful GPU compared to the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED, making it more capable of handling demanding tasks, although it is heavier and less portable. Despite its beautiful OLED screen with higher screen quality, the ASUS may not match the Dell's raw performance, especially in GPU-intensive applications, but offers greater portability and a more business-oriented design.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"While one of the more budget-friendly configurations of the Asus Zenbook 14X OLED may make a compelling case as a top value pick, it’s difficult to be disappointed with the more expensive model we reviewed here. At its core, for all models, it’s a luxury-built laptop with extreme portability and a gorgeous OLED display. Our unit rocks with a snappy Core i9 processor for getting real work done, and the discrete GPU—even if it has a clear power ceiling—is a bonus for creative pros."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
