The ASUS Vivobook 17 is a budget-friendly option with a large 17.3” screen, suitable for users needing a bigger display for multitasking, although it may compromise portability. It packs moderate processing power, making it suitable for general use, but less so for intensive tasks. On the flip side, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" costs more but offers a higher-performance processor, more storage, and RAM, along with a touchscreen. With a Ryzen 7 processor and Vega 8 graphics, it's better equipped for demanding applications and multitasking, yet it's more portable with a 15.6" screen. Consider the Lenovo for performance-demanding tasks or the ASUS for budget-conscious general use. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 17 for general use, content creation, and software development.
When considering general use, the ASUS Vivobook 17 and Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" have screen qualities that are sufficient due to their adequate resolution and brightness, which are essential for activities like browsing the web, watching videos, and document editing. For engineering and design tasks, both screens offer fair performance since they cover a reasonable range of colors, although they may not fully meet the high standards for color accuracy required by professionals. However, for gaming and 3D applications where high refresh rates are vital to provide smooth motion, both laptops fall short, resulting in less fluid visual experiences during fast-paced actions.

How the ASUS Vivobook 17 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The ASUS Vivobook 17 is an affordable 17-inch laptop with passive cooling. On one hand, you get a really quiet and cool work device with a good system performance, many connections, good maintenance options, speakers acceptable for multimedia enjoyment, and a sharp and clear matte FHD IPS display with the Asus VivoBook 17 (F712JA). On the other hand, the USB-C port lacks Power Delivery and DisplayPort, and the display, a higher brightness and better color space coverage."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
