The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is less expensive and offers a larger screen size, which might be better for immersive gaming and productivity tasks that benefit from more screen real estate. However, the Gigabyte Aorus 5, while more expensive, comes with a more powerful main processor, better graphics processing, and a significantly larger battery capacity, which translates to better performance for 3D, machine learning, and engineering applications. The Aorus 5 also has a higher refresh rate display, important for fast-paced gaming. Both laptops have Windows 11 Home, similar port options, and RGB backlit keyboards, but the Aorus 5 generally delivers higher performance suitable for more intensive tasks. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 5 is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 5 surpasses the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for gaming and 3D mainly due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics card and a significantly higher screen refresh rate of 360, compared to the F17's Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti and a refresh rate of 144, enhancing both the visual experience and gaming performance. Additionally, the higher-end CPU and better screen quality in the Aorus 5 also contribute to its advantage for these tasks, though to a lesser extent.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the Gigabyte Aorus 5 compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."
