The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is usually less expensive and offers solid gaming-like appearance with a robust build, including a backlit keyboard and a larger 17.3-inch screen with a high refresh rate, which is good for gaming. However, the battery life is relatively short, and it's heavier, making it less portable. The Gigabyte Aero 16, while typically more expensive, provides an OLED display with better resolution and color accuracy, longer battery life, higher performance due to its advanced processor and GPU, and it's lighter, enhancing its portability. It's more suitable for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering due to its increased performance capabilities and screen quality. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | April 2022
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."

Tom's Hardware

Isaac Rouse | May 2022
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
