The Gigabyte Aero 16 excels in visual tasks with its larger, higher resolution screen and better color accuracy which is important for design and video editing, but it has less storage than the Aero 5. Both laptops have the same main processor and GPU, which means similar performance in intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. The Aero 5 is lighter with a smaller screen, making it more portable than the Aero 16, although they have similar battery life. The Aero 5 might be a better option for general use due to its better balance between performance and portability. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aero 16 for general use, and gaming and AI.
When comparing the Gigabyte Aero 16 and Aero 5 for general use, factors like panel type, resolution, and brightness are critical; the Aero 16's display with its particular panel technology and high resolution ensures crisp and bright visuals, making it very suitable. For engineering and design tasks, color accuracy is paramount, and both laptops excel with wide color gamuts that cater to professional color work, offering very good screen quality. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rates of both laptops' screens hinder smooth motion rendering, which is vital for these uses, hence their poor screen quality in this context.
Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Gigabyte Aero 16 to be very good for general use, while the Gigabyte Aero 5 is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 is well-suited for general use due to its powerful CPU, ample RAM, and high-quality OLED screen, balanced by a reasonable battery life and acceptable portability, whereas the Gigabyte Aero 5 also offers a strong CPU and comparable RAM with an equally impressive OLED display, but trades off slightly in portability for a larger screen, with both maintaining good battery life.

How the Gigabyte Aero 16 and the Gigabyte Aero 5 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
