When deciding between the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the HP Victus 15, consider that the ASUS offers higher gaming and intensive task performance due to a more powerful CPU and GPU, but it comes with a higher price tag and may not be as portable due to its weight. On the other hand, the HP Victus 15, being less expensive, still offers good performance suitable for general use and less demanding gaming. It has a smaller battery, which could mean less time away from the power outlet. So, if budget-friendliness and portability are priorities, the HP could be the right choice, whereas if better gaming performance is a must, the ASUS would be more suitable. Both options have a similar screen size and type, contributing to a comparable viewing experience. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | March 2022
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
