If your priority is a higher screen resolution and better colors for tasks like photo editing, the Dell Alienware m15 R7 excels, but remember it's less portable and has a steeper price. In contrast, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is more affordable, lighter, and has sufficient power for most gaming and engineering applications, although its display isn't as sharp or vibrant as the Dell's. Consider your budget, need for display quality, and whether you'll frequently be carrying your laptop, to make the best choice. Give Feedback

The Dell Alienware m15 R7 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, both the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and Dell Alienware m15 R7 offer crisp images and bright displays due to their high-resolution panels, but the Alienware typically provides a more vibrant, color-accurate experience. When it comes to engineering and design, the Alienware's screen is superior because it covers a wider range of colors, making it ideal for tasks requiring precise color representation. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rate of both laptops means they're less suited for action where smooth motion is critical, despite their other screen attributes.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the Dell Alienware m15 R7 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"The Alienware M15 offers solid gaming and leading endurance. It makes the most of its CPU and GPU while delivering stellar battery life for a gaming laptop. Opening the lid presents a full-size keyboard with honeycomb cutouts above it on the deck. An oblong RBG lightning element surrounds the entire rear panel and can be color-synced with the other lights on the laptop. There’s not a lot to dislike about the M15 Its productivity performance lagged in some areas, particularly in the storage benchmark, and it’s a bit heavy. Alienware has a clear winner here with the M15 based on its strong overall performance and endurance."
