If you prioritize high-end gaming or demanding tasks such as 3D rendering or machine learning, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 offers superior performance with its more advanced processor and graphics card, but it's also more expensive and has a shorter battery life. The Dell G15 5520, on the other hand, is more affordable and has a longer battery life, which might make it a better option for general use and less intensive gaming. The ASUS is also slimmer and lighter, offering greater portability than the heavier Dell. Both have the same amount of storage and memory, but the ASUS's display is slightly larger with a higher resolution and refresh rate, potentially offering a better visual experience. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Dell G15 5520 is good.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 excels in gaming and 3D due to its superior Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and a higher screen refresh rate of 240Hz, leading to smoother visuals and better handling of fast-moving images. In contrast, the Dell G15 5520 is also suited for gaming and 3D tasks with its capable Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, but it offers a lower screen refresh rate of 165Hz which may result in slightly less fluid motion during intense gaming sessions.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and Dell G15 5520 are both very good for engineering and design, though the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is somewhat better.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 stands out for engineering and design use with a superior CPU, a high-end GPU, more color-accurate and brighter screen, which is crucial for detail-oriented tasks, while the Dell G15 5520, with a slightly less powerful CPU and GPU and a less vibrant screen, offers a balance between performance and cost. Although both are sufficient in RAM, the Zephyrus M16's top-tier components make it more suitable for the most demanding engineering applications and design work, whereas the G15 5520 provides a good balance for users needing solid performance but with budget considerations.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 offers a higher resolution and brighter panel, providing a sharper and more vibrant display for general use, and wider color coverage which is essential for accurate engineering and design work. However, its lower refresh rate is not ideal for 3D applications and gaming, where smoother motion is a priority. The Dell G15 5520, while having a decent resolution and brightness for general tasks, also falls short for gaming and 3D because of its refresh rate limitations, even though it has adequate color accuracy for engineering and design purposes.

How the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is not yet as optimised as its predecessor. Compared to the previous gen, performance and efficiency have improved significantly. What's more, the wonderful, Mini-LED Nebula display is a contender for the main highlight and almost manages to put the CPU and GPU in the shade. We already found its predecessor to be a well-rounded and well-optimised gaming machine. Generally, but not unequivocally, that also applies to the new Asus M16. Similar to most of the current, new laptops, we are dealing with a double generational leap in terms of the CPU and GPU. However, this change doesn't always run smoothly."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
