The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and ASUS TUF Gaming A15 are both very good for engineering and design, though the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is somewhat better.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 stands out for engineering and design use with its higher resolution and screen quality for detailed work, supported by a powerful CPU and GPU combination; in comparison, the ASUS TUF Gaming A15, while also equipped with a robust CPU and GPU, offers a slightly lower display quality, affecting fine detail work but could be more durable for long-term, heavy usage due to its gaming-focused build. Both laptops have similar core specs such as RAM and battery life, but the ROG Zephyrus M16's premium screen and build make it more suitable for high-fidelity visual tasks, and the TUF Gaming A15's robust construction may appeal to users prioritizing durability and cost-effectiveness over top-tier screen performance.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 likely has a higher resolution and brightness with a panel that renders colors accurately, making it excellent for tasks like browsing and document editing, as well as for design work where color fidelity is crucial. However, its refresh rate may not be as high as dedicated gaming laptops, hence is considered poor for gaming where smooth motion is key. The ASUS TUF Gaming A15, while also good for general tasks and capable of decent color reproduction for design, falls short for gaming for similar reasons, possibly due to a lower refresh rate that doesn't match the standards required for fast-paced games.

How the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 compare to other laptops
"The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is not yet as optimised as its predecessor. Compared to the previous gen, performance and efficiency have improved significantly. What's more, the wonderful, Mini-LED Nebula display is a contender for the main highlight and almost manages to put the CPU and GPU in the shade. We already found its predecessor to be a well-rounded and well-optimised gaming machine. Generally, but not unequivocally, that also applies to the new Asus M16. Similar to most of the current, new laptops, we are dealing with a double generational leap in terms of the CPU and GPU. However, this change doesn't always run smoothly."
"With the release of the TUF Gaming A15, Asos have concentrated on the essentials: gaming performance. Our base version, which can be had for around $1,169, already provided enough power to play current games smoothly in a native resolution of 1080p and with maximum details - thanks to its new Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop. If you utilize upscaling, then you can even manage to run ray tracing."
