The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 is more expensive, offering better performance for 3D, machine learning, and intensive gaming due to a superior GPU and processor, also featuring a higher resolution screen and longer battery life, which enhances portability. In comparison, the Dell G15 5520 is less expensive, slightly heavier, and has a shorter battery life, but it still provides sufficient power for general and engineering use with a capable processor and GPU. The choice depends on your budget and whether you need a higher-end gaming laptop (ASUS) or a more budget-friendly option for everyday tasks and some gaming (Dell). Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15, with its high-resolution display and impressive brightness, provides sharp and vibrant visuals that are ideal for general use and detailed enough for precision work required in engineering and design. However, despite these qualities, its lower refresh rate hampers the smoothness needed in fast-paced gaming or 3D rendering. On the other hand, the Dell G15's good screen quality stems from sufficient resolution and brightness for daily tasks and professional design work, but like the ASUS, it falls short for gaming and 3D applications due to a less-than-ideal refresh rate.

How the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"As long as you're aware of the fact that the GeForce RTX 3080 laptop version can only unfold its potential to a limited extent due to Asus's low TDP setting and that it can be slower than a fast RTX 3070 laptop, the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503Q cuts a fine figure. One of the biggest highlights turns out to be the WQHD panel, since it attracts customers with 165 Hz, relatively fast response times, FreeSync, and good color-space coverage. Other selling points are the surprisingly rich sound, the long battery life, and the sleek design. In terms of looks, the white edition stands out nicely from the competition."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
