The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a midrange laptop that is more expensive than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" and tends to offer more power for gaming and engineering applications, with a higher refresh rate screen, more storage, and a more capable NVIDIA graphics card. It has a backlit keyboard with customizable RGB lighting and hardware suitable for both gaming and creative tasks, but it is heavier and has shorter battery life. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is a lower midrange, more affordable option that is lighter, with a much longer battery life, making it highly portable. It has a touchscreen, which the ASUS lacks, but it offers less storage and lower performance, particularly for 3D rendering, machine learning, and other intensive tasks. The Lenovo's built-in AMD graphics are less capable than the ASUS's dedicated NVIDIA GPU, but it should be sufficient for general use and light gaming. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 stands out for engineering and design owing to a high-end AMD Ryzen 9 CPU and Nvidia RTX GPU, surpassing the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" which features a mid-tier AMD Ryzen 7 and integrated Vega 8 graphics, making the former more suitable for demanding applications that rely heavily on processing and graphics capabilities. While the Strix G15 offers more power, it also comes with greater weight and potentially louder operating noise due to its gaming-oriented design, whereas the IdeaPad emphasizes portability and quieter operation, but with lesser performance for engineering tasks.

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 offers a high-resolution display with vibrant colors, satisfying both general users and engineers with its clarity and color accuracy, but falls short for gaming due to its lower refresh rate which makes fast-paced visuals less smooth. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 has a fair screen that provides adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and entry-level design work, but lacks the wider color gamut professionals require for precise color grading. Both laptops are less ideal for gaming and 3D work, as their screens don't offer the high refresh rates needed for fluid motion in action-packed scenes.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a successful high-performance 15-inch laptop. The Asus ROG Strix impresses with an elaborate design and fast hardware. The latter can unleash its potential well in the large 15-inch case and achieve a decent performance boost compared to the previous generation. Especially the stunning 300 Hz display as well as the RTX 3070 and its generous TDP give gamers their money's worth. Asus didn't neglect seemingly small details, either, such as the keyboard and the maintenance options. The ROG Strix G15 offers a lot of pure performance and excellent workmanship in a 15-inch format, but connectivity leaves something to be desired."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
