If you're looking for more power and versatility in a highly portable, tablet-like form factor and don't mind investing more, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 stands out, especially for intensive gaming or demanding applications. However, if affordability is a priority and you still require a machine capable of heavy gaming but in a traditional laptop build, the Dell G15 5520 may suit your needs better, being less expensive. The ASUS is often significantly more expensive, reflecting its specialized gaming tablet design and high performance, while the Dell, priced in the lower midrange, offers solid performance sans the premium build and tablet flexibility. How the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
