The Apple MacBook Air is more suited for general use with its excellent build quality, great battery life, and silent operation. It’s lightweight, has a very high-quality screen, and is suitable for tasks that benefit from a high-resolution display. However, it is not ideal for intensive gaming or tasks that require powerful graphics processing. The ASUS TUF Gaming F17, on the other hand, is designed for gaming and can also handle 3D rendering and engineering applications better due to its dedicated graphics card. "The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."

"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
