The Acer Swift 3 is less expensive than the LG Ultra 16 and offers a touchscreen, light weight, and decent battery life, making it suitable for general use with good portability. The LG Ultra has a larger screen, longer battery life, and a processor that better handles 3D tasks and engineering software, but it's heavier and more expensive. If you prioritize touch functionality and lower cost, the Acer Swift 3 is suitable, while the LG Ultra 16 is a strong choice for intensive tasks and longer unplugged use despite being less portable and costlier. The Acer Swift 3 has a better screen than the LG Ultra 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Swift 3 likely offers a display with higher resolution and brightness levels, making it well-suited for general tasks and engineering design which benefit from crisper details and more visible screen content. However, this laptop probably lacks a high refresh rate, which is crucial for a smooth gaming experience, especially in 3D where motion clarity is key. On the other hand, the LG Ultra 16 has an adequate display for general use and design tasks, but may not match the Acer's color reproduction or brightness, making it less optimal for professionals requiring high color accuracy.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the LG Ultra 16 compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"Unlike the gram, the Ultra PC isn't designed to be as lightweight as possible. The 16-inch laptop is a whole 400 g (0.88 lb) heavier than its 16-inch gram counterpart partly because its chassis is not made of magnesium. Other than that, the Ultra PC seems like a copy of the gram – but with longer battery life, lower noise levels, and a clean, delicate look."
