Choose the Acer Swift 3 if you prioritize affordability, battery life, and portability, as it's lighter and has a longer battery life than the ASUS Vivobook 16X. The Swift 3 is suitable for general use and light engineering tasks. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook 16X, while more expensive and heavier, offers better performance for engineering, 3D, and machine learning applications, due to its more powerful processor and dedicated graphics card. It's also geared more towards gaming with hardware ray tracing support. If your tasks are intensive and you don't mind a shorter battery life and less portability, the Vivobook 16X is the better choice. Give Feedback

How the Acer Swift 3 and the ASUS Vivobook 16X compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
